Coordinated voltage control of active distribution networks with photovoltaic and power to hydrogen

The rapid increase of photovoltaic (PV) penetration in active distribution networks (ADN) is posing great challenges to traditional voltage control schemes. A two-stage strategy ADN proposed by the authors based on alternating direction method multipliers (ADMM) with refined power hydrogen (P2H) model, considering multiple types PV forms such as residential cluster (RPVC) and small-scale stations. In day-ahead stage, optimal flow performed determine scheduling results on-load tap changers capacitor banks etc. intra-day real-time implemented at network layer regulate each type PV, energy storage systems P2H further reduce deviation. At customer layer, (RPV) within RPVC precisely controlled ADMM algorithm achieve minimum deviation RPV access point. tested modified IEEE 33-bus 69-bus systems, simulation verify its effectiveness mitigating violations.
